DC Direct Harley Quinn Statues
Information for people looking for these statues on Ebay and elsewhere.

by: LiK

I was ripped off in Ebay by a seller who advertised on his auction that he had the full-sized version. He sent me the miniature version instead. After that disaster on Ebay, I decided to write this article to help inform both buyers and sellers the differences between the full-sized and miniature versions of the Harley Quinn Statue on a deck of playing cards by DC Direct. I don't want that negative experience to happen to anyone else.

Since the statues are so similar in design, it's very easy for uninformed buyers to get the smaller version by accident from sellers who are too lazy to research what they are selling. But, there are noticeable differences that you should look out for. As you can see in the picture (above), the full-sized version is much larger than the mini version. If the seller doesn't have the box, make sure they show you pictures of the statue next to items that you recognize to see the scale of the statue. A ruler or a soda can are good examples.

If they have the boxes, then here are the main differences between the full-sized and miniature versions. You'll notice that the full-sized box has a rectangle shape while the mini version is a square shape. The text is also different. Notice the word "Limited Edition" and "Statue" on the full-sized box while the mini version's box has the word "Mini-statue". The full-sized box also tells you the size of the statue on the back while the mini box has no such information on the back of the box. These clues should tell you which one you're looking at.

Last but not least, here are what the faces look like. The full-sized version has a much better face and the paint is better. The face is rounder and the white around the eyes are larger. The mini version has a longer face and the white around the eyes are smaller (and less attractive). As you can see, the quality between them is quite surprising when you look at them side by side.

Remember, the full-sized version is no longer available so Ebay and other online auctions are your best bet for it. The mini version is very easy to get from various online retailers so if you want the mini version, go look there. These bits of information should make it easy for you to figure out if the seller is selling the full-sized or mini versions of the statue.

Ebay Warning: If you're looking for the full-sized version and the sellers used a generic picture of the statue or the box (a photo they didn't take themselves), make sure to ask them to show you more pics of the statue they are selling. If they don't respond or they refuse to provide you with one, avoid them and look for the full-sized statue from another seller. It's not worth the hassle. Trust me. Also, ignore the text description because they can type anything they want there.

Thanks for reading.
