Personal Story:
I was browsing an online book import store and I found this. I saw that the cover of this hentai manga was by one of my favorite artists Satoshi Urushihara so I had to check it out. I found out that a minibust (designed by Urushihara-san!) was included with this special issue so I grabbed it immediately. It's very rare for a figure to be based on a design by Satoshi Urushihara so I was surprised. The store said this was sold out in Japan already so it was a must-have. Yes, I'm a sucker and a pervert. :P
 
Introduction:
This minibust is made by Akaneshinsha. This figure is based on a character design pinup by Satoshi Urushihara. It depicts a topless maid. This was available exclusively with the Tenma Comics Special January 2005 issue in Japan only. Note: You can order the rest of the figure's body with a form that was included with this issue. But since it's exclusive to Japanese residents, I was unable to complete the figure for this review. :( I'd also like to point out that since this figure wasn't given an English name or title, I simply titled it "maid".
 

Sculpt:
The sculpt is very nice. The face is very well done and she has a soft melancholy look. It looks very close to a typical design by Urushihara-san. Some fans might find the chin a little pointy compared to the source (which is the included pinup by Urushihara-san) but it's not too bad. They also sculpted in her mouth but it's all fairly simple. The hair sculpt is very nice with the curls and bangs. I like how the right curl is resting on her. Nice detail. The hair is actually made with a clear plastic so that was unique.

The bust (yes pun intended!) on this bust is fairly well sculpted. The boobs are large and round. Now, they look a little too big compared to the source. I think what the sculptor was trying to do was to show that her breasts were resting on her outfit (just like the pinup) but it comes off a little odd. The nipples are okay. I think they look more like something on a baby bottle. Since the breasts were the focus of the figure, I wish they looked more natural. The frills with the outfit are simple and not very well detailed. It's all very basic. I didn't find anything terrible with the sculpt overall. The included base is very nice and simple and works well. That's about it.

The hentai manga includes three color pinups by Satoshi Urushihara and another artist. One of the pinups is the maid from which the figure is based on (sorry, I didn't take a pic of it since it showed nudity below her waist). The inside features a collection of various short stories with lots of graphical sexual situations. It's definitely hardcore stuff but all the situations take place in normal everyday life. There isn't any monsters, aliens or anything weird in this hentai. The art is VERY nice and very high quality. I was impressed. Good stuff.
 

Paint:
The paint job is pretty well done. The skin tone is nice and bright. There are some nice airbrushing of white on the hair so certain parts are clear which was a nice effect. The eyes are clean but I wish they put more detail in it since one of Urushihara-san's trademarks are his ultra-detailed eyes. Oh well. The blacks and whites on the outfit are slightly sloppy but it's pretty minimal. One odd thing is that the face is matte but her chest was painted with a glossy paint. It was a good effect since the gloss made her boobs look like she's sweaty and horny. I think that was the original intention. ^^ The nipple colors are okay. I think they should've chosen a slightly darker color, but that's just me. The outfit and base was also painted with a glossy paint. It's a decent paint job overall.

 
Overall: B-
Pretty good job overall. The minibust is sexy (for what's there) and works well. Any fan of Satoshi Urushihara's art will definitely need to check this baby out! Other collectors might find it a bit boring. I was really disappointed that this minibust wasn't available as a complete figure. I would've given it a higher grade if I had the whole thing. Oh well.
 

Where can I find this?
Pretty rare. The hentai manga that it came with is sold out and very hard to find now. I suggest checking various online Japanese and import bookstores for it.
