Personal Story:
I came across this while I was searching for some stuff and it caught my eye. I didn't bother checking it out until the online store selling this was offering it for less than the retail price. Yoda is one of the coolest characters in the Star Wars universe and when I saw this I had to get it.

Introduction:
This bust is part of Gentle Giant Studio's line of mini-busts based on various Star Wars characters. This bust is based on the character Yoda in the film, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. It depicts Yoda in the best fight scene of Episode II where he battles Count Dooku. Limited to 3,500 pieces worldwide.

Sculpt:
Superb. This is the most detailed and most accurate looking Yoda ever. He looks exactly like the character in the movie. They've managed to give us the exact ass-kicking Yoda we saw in the movie. His face is full of anger and determination. It's great. The pose is also very cool. We see Yoda wielding his lightsaber with his long flowing sleeves. The face, the hair, the hands, the robe; everything is so lifelike, it makes me sick (in a good way). Once again, I have to say, he looks cool.

When you look further into the details (my God, the details), every wrinkle and piece of hair is immaculate. The wrinkles on his face and hands are all there. I've never seen such details on a sculpt of this kind. Incredible. Also, the robe isn't some flat surface, they managed to create the textures so that it's rough just like the robe he wore in the movie. Wow. And of course, the lightsaber is modeled exactly after the one we saw in the movie. I'm so glad they gave us this because many of the other mini-busts in the series don't even have arms. I love the "laser" blade of the lightsaber too. It's nice and hard and not some cheap material. They used clear green plastic instead of painting it too. Cool.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the sculpt. If they had only created the lower half of Yoda, we would've had an excellent mini-statue rather than a mini-bust. It's very cool how his body melds into the base so it looks like he's emerging from it. One important note is that his right hand (with the lightsaber) is shipped separately from the body. All you do is put it into the socket. It's not very tight but if you want to glue it in, you can. They did this so that it won't be damaged in the box.

Paint:
Every bit as impressive is the sculpt. The colors are exactly what we would've expected. This Yoda ain't some bright green frog like some of those action figures. He's painted in the similar color palette as the Yoda we saw in the movie. The same can be said for his robe and lightsaber. It's all full of details. They painted EVERY nook and cranny of this figure. Even his eyes are superbly done. I tried looking for faults and mistakes but he's perfect. Not a single thing about the paint job was bad. Great job.

Overall: A+
Super! Excellent! The best Yoda ever made. This mini-bust is done in such a refined way that I am beyond words. Incredible details. The sculpt is great and the paint job is great. The lightsaber was a cool bonus. Any fan who likes this little guy should grab it before it disappears.

Where can I find this?
Almost impossible. Due to his popularity and limited availability, you'll have to hunt him down on places like Ebay. Every other place is probably sold out. Good luck.
