Personal
Story:
I saw this figure while browsing around and it caught my eye. I had
no idea what anime or series it came from. I decided to get it out
of pure impulse. I like babes in swimsuits. :P |

Introduction:
This figure is made by Fox Shuppan. This figure is based on the
character Ritsuko Kubel Kettenkrad from the anime, Kujibiki Unbalance.
It depicts Ritsuko wearing her class president hat in her school swimsuit. |

Sculpt:
Lovely. I really like the look of the character's pose and face.
She looks elegant, which is surprising for a character in a swimsuit.
The helmet on her head is pretty funny looking. I haven't seen the
anime so I can't really judge the accuracy of it. It looks nice
on her head though. It has some nice details like grooves and other
such details. The face is great. She looks like a porcelain statue
as a result. I have to commend the sculptor for making her look
so sweet. She has a sweet "I'll kick your ass" attitude.
Judging from the images online, I think the sculptor designed the
face himself. I also like her mouth which is very delicately sculpted.
It doesn't look like the same face from the anime but I don't think
they were going for accuracy. The hair is fairly nice with some
movement and is quite accurate.
The
pose is just as lovely. I like the simplicity of Ritsuko holding
her hat. I don't know why, but I really love the simple standing
pose. It works great. The hand is fairly simple and not heavily
detailed but I like the pose of the hands themselves. The body is
nice too. She's quite busty but I'm glad they made it look a little
realistic with the swimsuit covering it quite well. It doesn't look
like the swimsuit was painted on. I also like the little details
like the creases and that little indentation for her navel. Cute
and sexy. The legs and feet are VERY simple. The pose for the legs
themselves is great but I have to admit that there's nothing really
great about them sculpt-wise. It seems the sculptor put more work
on the upper half of the figure. The body sculpt is excellent overall.
The
figure has ZERO articulation which is obvious. The base is just
as simple. It's a big round dish. The interesting thing is that
the figure was packaged with her base connected to her feet already.
I think that was a great idea so I didn't have to bother working
with the base myself. The figure stands very well on it.

Paint:
The paint job is neat and clean. I thought it was flawless looking
until I spotted a major defect on mine (more details below). The
color scheme for the figure's skin is very pale and nice. It's matted
looking and gives her that look of a statue. The face is very clean
and the eyes are excellent. The hair is a bright yellow with little
bits of airbrushing for shadows. Looks nice. I also have to mention
that there's some dark brown airbrushing on her helmet which look
great too. It gives the helmet a very realistic heavy look. I also
like the little emblem. It's tiny but they painted it with all the
same details as the source. Cool.
The
paint on the swimsuit has a very nice dark blue scheme. There is
some minor airbrushing to accentuate her curves. There is also some
airbrushing on her legs but they look simple and not very realistic
looking. The black letters on her boobs look okay. They look like
they were written on which is cool. The fingernails and toenails
were painted with a white color which I thought was an interesting
choice.
The
main defect I found was on her left arm. There were two big paint
drops there. Not only was it distracting but it was a huge defect
that was overlooked. I wasn't able to fix it unless I plan on damaging
the paint job. It's too bad cuz if it didn't have that defect, I
would've given this figure a Flawless award. Oh well, it's probably
an isolated incident.
The
base has some text indicating the name of this figure which I found
interesting. It's very well designed and I like the look of the
text. The text is clean and well implemented.

Overall:
A+
A very nice lovely figure. The simplicity works and I think the
overall sculpt is solid. Anyone who's a fan of the anime or is a fan
of an anime babe in a swimsuit will enjoy the figure. I wasn't a fan
and it caught my eye. :) |

Where
can I find this?
She's new (as of this review) so some online stores may have
her. But because the anime isn't very well known, you might have
a hard time finding it.

The figure in its box. Very nice design with nice photos of the
figure around the box. The big window allows you to display the
figure if you plan on keeping her in the box. As you can see, the
figure is packaged with her base on her feet already. Very unusual.

"Oh la la..."

The side. The pic doesn't show the defect I mentioned in my review,
sorry.
|
|

The other side. Looks cute from any angle.

The
base. Very nice graphic design.
