Personal Story:
I just love everything I've seen concerning the PC RPG, Utawarerumono, which is produced by Leaf. I don't play so I can't tell you anything about the game except that it's in a fantasy setting and the characters are really entrancing. So I try to grab every figure related to the series.

Assembly & Display:
Minor assembly is required out of the box--just popping the wings into sockets on the figure's back. It was fairly easy. The head, elbows and wrists are ball-jointed to allow for some posability. An optional face part is included with a different expression as well as optional hands, open palms vs. closed fists.

The display supporter that came with the figure was a major problem. It's like an upside-down L on a circular platform. It isn't obvious how to use it, and no instructions or diagrams are included. The figure doesn't have any pegs or holes that could attach it to the supporter, and it won't fit on or around it, as far as I could determine. Since the figure won't stand without support (her wings are too heavy), I ended up modifying the supporter to make it work. I
sculpted the wire body of the L into a shape that grips the figure on both hips, holding her upright on the platform.

Sculpt:
I think the character is really cute, but her costume just baffles me. It doesn't look like any of the other characters from the game or like anything I've seen on related packaging or in screen shots. Her feet seem kind of big. The places where the parts come together are mostly disguised by clothing. The clothing is made so that the details of her curvy figure are clearly revealed. The wings look great, with well-defined feathers. The pose is somewhat boring. The ball joint of the neck is a little loose so that the figure's face tends to tilt downward, but I stuffed the joint with a little tissue paper and now it's fine.

Paint:
Fair. The airbrushing on the body and hair is nice. The colors of the costume are very flat except for the silvery black sleeves and stockings . There are minor painting flaws at most color boundaries. Her hair is a nice purplish-grey and her eyes are startlingly glossy red. The main paint problem is the wings--they are blue-black but have different finishes. The left wing has a shimmery satin finish like the stockings, and the right is more a flat color with sparkles. They obviously don't match.

Overall: C+
The character is really cute, and her wings are magnificent, except for the major painting flaw. Some playability with the ball joints and optional parts. The pose, colors and painting could have been better for the price. The stand is a disaster. I feel like I paid too much for this figure.
