Personal Story:
I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith's work. Since these two characters represent the bulk of Kevin's work, I made an impulse buy when I spotted them at the local comic shop.

Introduction:
Jay and Silent Bob are two characters that have various sized parts in the bulk of Kevin Smith's work to date. Originally the black and white Inaction Figures were only available as Wizard World Chicago con exclusives. With the anniversary release of Clerks (the movie these characters first appeared in), the black and white Inaction Figures have been rereleased as normal figures in the Inaction line.

Sculpt:
Based on the short-lived Clerks cartoon, the sculpted of the figures is a very simple one. The sculpt is the same one used for colour version of the figure. The sculpt is a great translation of the stylized 2D cartoon characters. The only problems with the sculpture are the imperfections in the joint lines, and the fact that the legs are a tad too far forward, making the figure easily tippable.

Paint:
The figures paint is all greyscale, a reference to the movie Clerks which was shot in black and white. At a distance the paint job looks good, but upon closer inspection many small imperfections are viewable.

Overall: B+
With a decent paint job and a great sculpt, these figures are a must-have for any true Kevin Smith fan. The general figure fan would probably be less than impressed with the quality of these figures.

Where can I find this?
These figures should be available in most comic shops. One can also order them online from Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, here.
